A Prayer for Faith

"The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!"
He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you."
Luke 17:5-6
This week, I've had the pleasure of attending Magnitude Festival with a bunch of young people from our area. It's something we've done for the last few years, and has become a highlight of my year. I love being able to see the ways God is at work in the hearts of the young people who come along to the event.
This year, I decided to use my journal to write out my prayers for the week. It's something I've recently started doing more of and I'm loving having a space to reflect, but also a space to look back on in the future as a way to see how God has been at work in my life.
The passage we were looking at for this week at Magnitude was Hebrews 11, looking at the heroes of the faith in the Old Testament and reflecting on their faith and the faithfulness of God in their lives.
At some point during the week, we were asked to reflect on these verses above. The prayer of the apostles above is so simple and yet so profound. If we ask God to increase our faith, He will do so. He has been faithful to us throughout it all and He asks that we trust Him.
Leaving such an incredible week, the prayer of the disciples is my prayer too. Lord, increase my faith. Help me to trust You more and more each day.
