Another Way to Live

"We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labour prompted by love , and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ."

1 Thessalonians 1:3

As we head into the second quarter of 2026, I've been trying to reflect on how I want to be living out the rest of this year going forward. It's easy to set New Year's Resoulutions (and I for one am someone who loves setting an ambitious goal for the year ahead) but it's all too easy to forget these resoulutions as we head deeper into the year.

This verse at the start of 1 Thessalonians really struck me when I read it recently. The Christians in Thessalonica had their lives marked by their work and their endurance. They were credited with living in a way that was marked by their faith, love for God and love for others, and their hope that can only come from Jesus.

As I step into this next part of the year, my hope is that my life might reflect the lives of the Thessalonians. I pray that work and labour would be produced by faith and prompted by love and, through it all, I will be able to continue persevering because of the hope I have in Jesus.

What a special way to live.
