It seems by mission of trying out the different foodie spots in Plockton is continuing. It's been so nice to actually get out and explore more of Plockton over the last few months. It's a place I've loved in Lochalsh for years and yet it's also a place that I hadn't actually taken a lot of time to actually explore.
A couple of weeks ago, we had dinner at the Plockton Hotel for my borther-in-law's birthday. We noramlly try to get out to a local spot for Arran's birthday because he loves trying new restuarants and eateries in Lochalsh.

We headed through to Plockton to head to the Plockton Hotel. I didn't really know anything about the Hotel, other than it's really recognisable black brick exterior. But inside, the Plockton Hotel is cosy and charming. It's basically exactly what you want a Highland hotel to look like.

I've really been in my fish era recently, so opted for the sea bass (which is probably my favourite fish) with the sweet potato and coconut dhal. I really had no idea what this would be like, but was intrigued with how fish might go with a spiced dhal.
Let me tell you: this dish was delicious! The sea bass was cooked to perfection and the sweet potato and coconut dhal was warming and spiced perfectly. I loved it. It was such a great dish to enjoy during the first few weeks of the cosier weather.
Overall, I'd highly recommend having a cosy meal at the Plockton Hotel. It's a great option with delicious food and a lot of Scottish ingredients, making it ideal for a cosy dinner if you are staying in or near Plockton.
