Jesus' Promise to Stay

"Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Matthew 18:18-20

During busy seasons, when life is chaotic and there's a hundred different things on the to-do list, it's good to know that someone's got your back.

We've just finished a full week of youthwork in local young people. It's something I never thought I'd be doing and an area of my life that I don't always feel most qualified to do, but a part of my life I've really enjoyed over the last few years.

In amongst the difficulties of working with teenagers (and there sure are plenty of those) I am so thankful to know that Jesus is with me. As He says in the verses above, when He sets out the famous Great Commission for what He wants His disciples to do, He promises that He will remain with us. He loves us and cares for us and knows we need His help, and He is faithful to keep His promises.

He is always with me and therefore I can keep going.
